On the record
- The Kindred makes landfall; the Ferren colony begins.
- First contact (Sethi); the evacuation under raider harassment. Evacuation ledger: population 1,900 → 372 early keel launches · 1,140 final four keels · 51 aboard the Dawnward · 44 dead · 293 remained (≈110 could not be lifted; the rest stayed by choice or to hold infrastructure). Silva dies holding the launch corridor.
- Ostry's sun failed ahead of schedule ("the nonlinear law arriving in real time"); second evacuation of the 293 = 229 lifted / 26 dead / 38 staying. The 38 remain under the failing sun.
