About
A Nhál worker at Tornel Station — one of the missing, captured by the catch-riders and recovered among the moon (Sennen) group, NOT the climactic capsule. Established allied people, not a new first-contact species; shows the frontier as genuinely integrated and prosperous before the war. Must never become "the special alien capsule": simply one worker in this civilisation, with colleagues and people waiting for him. Humanising facts only, no symbolic speech about the alliance.
Relationships
- A colleague — "the hoist man, second shift, north dock" — Telan's first concern on recovery is whether anyone has told this man he is alive (chapter 13).
